Episode 077 – This week on The Meg Rock Show, I was able to sit down with Samke Mhlongo. Samke is originally from South Africa and is now living in the United States. She holds four college degrees, most notable being an Honours in Financial Planning, and an MBA completed with a dissertation titled, ‘Factors Contributing to Over Indebtedness of Black South African Females.’

She is starting a new life after being stripped of her home, her car, and her children when going through a divorce. She has written a book titled “Ringfence” where she talks about the mother’s wound and the traumas that have been passed down through generations by mothers to their daughters because these wounds have not been healed, and talks about domestic violence in this book. She helps women create habits that they will need to ring-fence, protect themselves.

She teaches about the financial mistakes to avoid as a woman, and about the empowerment that she wants to provide for women so that no matter what they are facing in their life, they can come out of it stronger than ever.
