Episode #041 – This week on the “Meg Rock Show,” I sat down with Danette Anderson. Danette is the mom of four boys, and she is married to her high school sweetheart. She is an entrepreneur, a makeup artist, a beauty blogger, a photographer, and the co-owner and creator of Virago Babe.
We had so much fun in this interview. Even though she says she is naturally shy and introverted, Danette decided to step on stage, literally, and she became Ms. Virginia. All of this after having her fourth child and realizing that she was 30 pounds overweight, and recognizing that she was taking care of everyone but herself.
Danette decided she could be a devoted mom and wife and still chase her dreams. Danette says stepping out of her comfort zone and trying new things has allowed her to become who she is today, and it’s opened every single door for her.
We talk about the loss of a baby, her makeup line, raising FOUR boys, and the books she plans to write for boy moms!
*Not long after this episode was recorded, Danette was hurt after running from a shooting in Atlanta. She was in Atlanta to shoot the cover of Jezabel Magazine. Danette is currently rehabbing her hip in hopes she doesn’t need a full hip replacement. She is a badass warrior goddess and I know this will only grow her as a soul. Please keep Danette in your prayers as she heals.
